Katie Chapman and Kim Little scored Arsenal’s two goals to secure the team’s fourth successive FA Cup victory, despite Kelly McDougall claiming a Sunderland conciliation goal in injury time.

Arsenal proved too strong for the young Northern Division side Sunderland, despite missing key players such as England Women’s Captain Faye White, who was ruled out of the Arsenal side through injury.

Sunderland’s much younger side included sixteen year old Lucy Staniforth and eighteen year old Lucy Bronze, but Arsenal proved too dominant and held most of the possession throughout the game.

The FA Cup is Arsenal manager Vic Akers’ 30th trophy during his spell at the club, and he’s hoping to add another trophy as the team play Everton next week to win the Premier League.
