Student sports and societies match results

It was a very successful week for the University’s sports teams with the rowing club in particular shining as they brought home the University’s first piece of silverware of the sporting year. Both the men’s hockey team and rugby union team won again to continue their strong start in their respective seasons.
The University of Lincoln Rowing Club have set off to a great start with a IM3 Quad Win at Huntingdon Head on Saturday . The crew completed the 4km course in 15 minutes 44 seconds; finishing 10th out of 65 competitors and won their Boat category.
Chris Farrell, the Students’ Union’s vice-president for sports, was delighted with the weeks sporting action: “It was a great week of results. The Men’s Hockey team won yet again and are doing a great job. The men’s Golf team continued to shine and the Netball ladies 1st team had a great victory.
