‘Best Of’: Alternative places to shop

As the new year begins at university The Linc brings you a ‘Best Of’ guide to help you get the most out of your time in Lincoln and your money.

If the price of your weekly food bill is going up try a cheaper, fresher alternative to your shopping and go back to basics and visit Lincoln’s market.

Best Alternative Shopping
Lincoln’s market, located in the centre of the city, offers a wide variety of fruit, veg and meat. The stalls have a wide variety fresh produce at prices cheaper than supermarkets and the friendly stall holders are more than happy to help. It’s also a great chance to try some locally grown food too.

The butchers often has great deals on packs of meat too, so you can either cook for the flat, or freeze them for a later date.

Top Tip!
Go at the end of the day when prices are even lower!
