Chimichanga is a Tex-mex style restaurant overlooking Lincoln’s beautiful Brayford Pool.

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere with friendly staff, comfortable seats decorated with cute little cactus centerpieces among other Mexican touches.

Their delicious food is moderately priced with main meals averaging around £13 and steaks costing a little more at around £16. You can check what you want before you go with their online menu and book a table too.

For my visit, shared the ‘Tex+Mex Combo’ for starters. It was great and suits anyone who likes to try a bit of everything or just can not make a decision!

My main was the ‘Cowboy Steak Sandwich’ which was delicious. The portion sizes were generous and I was certainly left feeling full afterwards.

Do not worry if you are not all about spicy food, there is plenty to satisfy those who prefer milder tastes – but there is also hot sauce on the table for those who like to give their food a bit of a kick.

Some foods also offer a choice of being glazed with mild, hot or hotter sauce, so the choice is completely yours!

During the festive season the restaurant is offering a set menu starting from £14.95 for a two course lunch. They also run a happy hour from 5-7pm Monday-Friday serving half price cocktails and beers all year round.

I would definitely recommend Chimichanga to those who do not want to break the bank and want to get their money’s worth – it is great for students.
