Alex Simmons has joined National League North side Boston United from Lincoln City on loan until Saturday 28 November.

The striker will return to Boston United for his second loan spell at the club after had a brief loan spell with the Pilgrims last season.

The youngster will go straight into Dennis Greene’s squad for their National League North match against FC United of Manchester at the Jakemans Stadium tomorrow.

Son of former Imps striker Tony Simmons will face competition in the Boston side from their top scorer Dayle Southwell as well as Mark Jones and new signing, Ryan Robbins.

19 year-old Simmons has made 13 appearances for the Imps so far this season and scored two goals, albeit only starting three games of those 13 games.

This will be Simmons’ fifth loan spell away from Lincoln City. The striker has been on loan at Lincoln United, Grantham Town, Boston United and Spalding United in previous seasons.
