University of Lincoln’s American football team Lincoln Colonials started their season with a defeat after losing 25-7 to an experienced Nottingham Outlaws side.

Lincoln Colonials, who managed to pick up just one win last year, start this season's campaign against Nottingham Outlaws on November 14th.

American football team Lincoln Colonials lost 13-6 to Leicester Longhorns in a shortened pre-season friendly last week, but the team remain upbeat about their chances this season.

Lincoln Colonials 20-14 victory over rivals UCH Sharks has given the team a huge boost. Speaking after a midweek training session, wide receiver Sam Hunt said that the win over Hull had given the team a massive lift.
