More than £88,000 has been collected by the University of Lincoln’s library in fines since January last year, according to information obtained by The Linc.

Lincoln students have handed over thousands of pounds to the library in the past few years, with figures suggesting this year to be the library’s biggest haul yet.
The Higher Education Funding Council for England announced the specific areas of its budget that will be affected by the HE cuts. The University of Lincoln shouldn’t be in much trouble, though fines aren’t ruled out, The Linc has learnt.
Universities across the country may face fines because they broke a government imposed cap on new students. Lincoln says it complied with the guidelines, and is “well within” the limit.
Lincolnshire Police issued nearly 1,100 parking tickets in one year on by the Pavilions in Lincoln, the equivalent of almost three parking tickets every day for the entire calendar year.
