The national executive of the National Union of Students (NUS) voted yesterday to support the BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanctions) movement against Israel.
The new society’s aim is not just to raise awareness of the Palestinian plight, but also to implement a BDS scheme, where Israeli goods are boycotted – a move already backed by the NUS and other universities.
