Lincoln Gay Pride, a celebration of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender life, is back, and will be bigger and brighter than ever before.

The event will take place on August 22nd, starting at 10am, and will be centred on the Engine Shed.

There will be stalls set up throughout the day, as well as live acts. These include performances from X Factor finalists Same Difference, and Austin Drage, and also Britain’s Got Talent’s Faces of Disco, and Dream Bears.

There will also be local Lincolnshire artists, and Pink tribute act Kyla Porta, performing as Almost Pink.

Although the main event will close at 6pm, the real party begins at 9.30pm, with DJ Lefty playing a range of club anthems.

Tickets to the official after party will cost £3, and are available at the Engine Shed box office. Each ticket holder gets a wristband, free shot, and other treats. If the Engine Shed isn’t your scene, there will be various after parties across the city. Everybody is welcome to celebrate.

The event is sponsored by Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue, Lincoln City Council, United Lincolnshire Hospital Trust, Lincolnshire Police, Lincoln College, and Cloud Web Design and Photography.
