The Students’ Union has unveiled the list of events happening during this year’s Freshers’ Week.
It starts properly on Sunday September 20th at 10pm, with the yearly ‘Icebreaker’. This time a Michael Jackson tribute artist, Navi, will be performing.
The Freshers’ Fayre — a chance to load up on free stuff — will be held on Tuesday 22nd, between 10am and 4pm, and the Sports and Societies Fayre will be at the same time the following day.
Fever Pitch, the Engine Shed’s Wednesday night event, will be graced this year by Ralf Little of ‘The Royle Family’ and ‘Two Pints’ fame. On Friday, Zane Lowe will once again DJ at the Engine Shed, starting at 10.30pm.
First-year students can buy tickets for the week’s events either online, or at the box office on the ground floor of the Engine Shed. 500 tickets will also be available to freshers on the door for Engine Shed club nights.
Second- and third-year students will have to wait until Monday 21st to buy tickets.
