The University of Lincoln and the city council are hosting an event on Wednesday where students can buy recycled bikes.
It will be held on Wednesday 23rd September from 10.30am until 2.30pm, outside the SOAP Centre. The aim is to give new students a chance to explore Lincoln at a low cost.
Cyclemagic, a specialist recycling company that refurbished the bikes, will be there on the day.
Bikes that can’t be repaired, or are unwanted, are welcome so they can be refurbished, or recycled by taking spare parts. There will be unusual bikes being ridden, and others such as circus bikes and trikes on display. People will be available to offer a maintenance course and even safety checks.
Both staff and students are welcome to come along.
