The lineup for the Reading and Leeds has been revealed at a special event in Leeds on Monday, March 29th.

Tickets for the festivals, which take place simultaneously in August, went on sale 30 minutes before the bands were revealed.

The bands headlining the festival are:

  • Arcade Fire – Friday (Leeds), Saturday (Reading)
  • Blink 182 – Saturday (Leeds), Sunday (Reading)
  • Guns n’ Roses – Sunday (Leeds), Friday (Reading)

Many of the the rumours about the lineup proved true, such as The Libertines reforming for a performance on the main stage, appearances by Dizzie Rascal, The Maccabees and Paramore.

Headlining the NME/Radio 1 stage will be LCD Soundsystem, Pendulum and Klaxons. Also playing the stage will be Enter Shikari, We Are Scientists and Delphic.

Reading and Leeds are best known for their mix of both high profile and up-and-coming bands stretching across genres like rock, indie and metal. Bands who have headlined the festival in the past include Kings of Leon, Radiohead, Rage Against The Machine, The Killers and Metallica.

Approximately 150,000 people attend Reading and Leeds over the three day period, with tickets in the past selling out in only a matter of hours in the last few years.

Reading and Leeds 2010 will take place on 27-29th August. More acts are set to be announced across all days and all seven festival stages.
