Lincoln City have announced more footballing luminaries that are to grace Sincil Bank for the Keith Alexander benefit match next month—including two former England internationals.

Lee Sharpe and Rob Lee are the latest ex-Premier League stars to have confirmed that their participation for Paul Ince’s All Star XI team on Monday 3rd May.

That team will be taking on a squad managed by ex-Imps assistant manager Gary Simpson which is made up entirely of players who have played under Alexander—a list that currently includes Jamie Forrester, Simon Yeo and Jamie McCombe.

Sharpe is most remembered for his time at Manchester United, where he made almost 200 league appearances in the early and mid-1990s. He also represented England eight times, but failed to establish himself as an international regular.

Rob Lee also had the privilege of representing his country in a similar period, turning out 21 times for the Three Lions. Lee made almost 700 professional appearances, most of which were for Charlton Athletic, and later Newcastle United.

The duo will join the likes of Paul Merson, Des Walker and Brian Deane in the All Star team, with more big names expected to be announced in the next week.

Ticket prices have been set at at £10 for adults and £5 for concessions and can be acquired from the Lincoln City ticket office and online.
