The chart-topping alternative artist Jamie T has announced that he will be playing Lincoln’s Engine Shed this June, ahead of his summer festival dates.
Originally from Wimbledon, London, the 24-year old first gained critical acclaim when he supported the Ordinary Boys on their 2006 tour. Since then he has gone on to win the NME’s Best Solo Artist award in 2007 and 2010 and been a festival favourite at Glastonbury, V festival and Leeds to name a few.
Both of his studio albums have been commercially successful, particularly his second 2009 release “Kings & Queens” which reached number two in the UK charts, and was declared on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show as his best album of 2009.
Jamie T’s exclusive performance at the Engine Shed follows on from his sold-out UK tour last year, and will predate his performances at this year’s Glastonbury and V Festival.
Tickets for the warm-up gig on June 24th cost £16.50 and go on sale at 9am this Friday, April 9th. The event is strictly for people aged 16 and over, and ID will be required.
