Download festival is not your ordinary festival. It’s three days of hard rock with a lineup of long serving rock legends mixed with up and coming rock bands, which has earned its rightful place on many rock fanatics’ calendars.

From June 11th-13th, Donington Park, Leicestershire, will be filled with over 80,000 tattooed and pierced rock goers, all there for one reason: to rock!

Now going into its 30th year, Download will play host to headline acts such as AC/DC, Rage Against the Machine, and Aerosmith. With over 80 acts already confirmed for the event, including 30 Seconds to Mars, Bullet for my Valentine, Megadeth, Stone Sour and Motorhead, with many more to follow, this year’s festival is set to be the best ever.

In total, over 140 acts are going to perform over the three days, on four different stages. The event will pay tribute to the late Maurice Jones who passed away last November. Jones organised the first Monsters of Rock festival back in 1980 which has escalated in to what is now known as the Download festival.

On-site camping and an on-site village will provide you with everything that you need from a shower to speciality bars. Food outlets around the on-site village cater for most needs and are reasonably priced.

Children under 16 years-old are welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Weekend tickets, camping tickets and RIP packages are available from the festival website and prices start at £145.
