An All Star XI will take on a Keith Alexander XI at Sincil Bank on Bank Holiday Monday, May 3rd, in memory of the former Lincoln City manager (kick off 3pm).

Alexander died in March after returning from Macclesfield’s 1-0 League Two defeat to Notts County.

The yellow sock-wearing manager is remembered by Imps supporters for guiding the club to four consecutive playoff campaigns in a row in the mid 2000s. He later had spells at Peterborough, Bury, and Macclesfield.

There will be plenty of stars on show for those attending the match, including former Leeds and Chelsea striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and ex-England striker Les Ferdinand.

They will make up part of the All Star XI side which will be managed by Paul Ince and include other famous names such as Paul Merson and Des Walker.

The other team sheet is made up of players who played under Alexander in his managerial career. Simon Yeo, Jamie Forrester, and Gareth McAuley have been included in a squad heavily made up of former Imps players and managed by Gary Simpson—Alexander’s right hand man before he passed away.

All of the money raised at the event will be going to the former St Lucian international’s family.

Over 1000 tickets have already been sold for the match, but tickets are still available from the Sincil Bank ticket office, priced at £10 for adults and £5 for concessions.
