University of Lincoln students are doing their bit for Children in Need today, November 19th, with a series of events across the Brayford campus.

The RAG (Raise And Give) society has organised events that will be taking place throughout the day, both in the Atrium, where students are able to donate, and outside the MHT building.

In the Atrium, a biscuit sale will be taking place, with proceeds going towards Children in Need. A sponsored silence will also be taking place in the Atrium, with 11 people currently signed up to take part throughout the day.

For those with a sweet tooth, a Smarties competition will be taking place in the Atrium, with the aim of breaking the world record for the number of Smarties eaten with chopsticks in one minute.

Outside the MHT building, a life-size Pacman game will be taking place, alongside giant Twister. RAG will be encouraging students to take part in the activities.

Aside from the events the Lincoln RAG has arranged, there are other ways for students to get involved.

Members of the University of Lincoln Alternative Lifestyles Society will be in and around the university in Rocky Horror fancy dress to raise money for Children in Need.

The Student Support Centre will also be fundraising for Children in Need through the sale of cakes and cookies.

Students can also donate direct to Children in Need through the website www.bbc.co.uk/pudsey
