Lincoln City’s FA Cup second round replay with Hereford United will be played on Saturday, January 8th at Sincil Bank. The Imps’ League Two clash with Macclesfield Town has been postponed as a result, and will take place at a later date.

Steve Tilson’s men have not kicked a ball in anger since November 27th, when the Imps’ 2-2 draw at Edgar Street forced the replay, which has been postponed three times. The winners will face a trip to Wycombe Wanderers in the third round on January 11th.

The tie has been the victim of the recent adverse weather conditions, which has seen City miss three League Two fixtures. Indeed, areas of the Sincil Bank pitch became frozen and access to the stadium treacherous. Volunteers’ efforts to clear the pitch of the snow and ice have had little success so far, and Tilson will now turn his attentions to preparing his players for their League Two visit to Port Vale.

Meanwhile, 18-year-old midfielder Adifane Noussoura has had his contract terminated by mutual consent. The Frenchman was former manager Chris Sutton’s final signing after he received a recommendation from his ex-Celtic team mate Didier Agathe. Noussoura failed to make a single appearance for the Imps.
