Goals from Delroy Facey and Gavin McCallum ensured that Lincoln City registered their fourth consecutive win with an impressive 2-1 victory over Bradford City at Valley Parade.

Boss Steve Tilson handed a debut to Patrick Kanyuka in midfield after his work permit came through before the end of the transfer window, whilst there were places on the bench for deadline day signings Ali Fuseini and Scott Spencer.

Adam Watts picked up a hamstring injury during the pre-match warm up, forcing Tilson into a defensive re-shuffle. Gavin Hoyte slotted in at right-back, with Julian Kelly switching to the left and Stephen Hunt and Danny Hone completing the back four.

Peter Taylor made just one change to the Bantams side that drew with Chesterfield on Saturday, with Omar Daley restored the starting line up.

James Hanson opened the scoring for the hosts in the fourth minute, making no mistake after David Syers’ good work. Facey headed the Imps level before the break after Gavin Hoyte’s lofted cross.

Gavin McCallum made sure Lincoln left Valley Parade with all three points though when he stabbed home 11 minutes from time after Bradford stopper Jon McLaughlin parried Ashley Grimes’ effort.

The Imps are now 19th in League Two; six points clear of the relegation zone and level on points and goal difference with the Bantams, with only goals scored separating them.

City will now look to claim their fifth win on the trot when they make the trip to Hereford United, where they will hope to take revenge for their FA Cup defeat at the start of January and hasten their climb towards League Two safety.
