York born singer/songwriter Benjamin Francis Leftwich will be playing Lincoln’s newest club, Tokyo Lincoln, on Sunday, October 2nd as part of his extensive October tour.

The 21-year-olds track “Atlas Hands”, was made one of Jo Whiley’s tracks of 2010 and he has been described as “Brit-folk’s pretty new voice” by NME.  He has recieved backing from Radio 1 and XFM, whilst his track “Pictures” was made Zane Lowe’s hottest record in the world.

Following the release of his EP, “Pictures”, earlier this year, Leftwich will be releasing his debut album ‘Last Smoke Before The Snowstorm’ next month. He will be touring with the album after his appearances at Glastonbury and Reading and Leeds festival.

Tokyo Lincoln is the latest club to come to the area and is situated at the end of Silver Street, in the grade two listed former Constitutional Club building. The venue is due for completion in August and aims to be open over the August bank holiday weekend.
