In a yearly survey of over 342 university websites, Bishop Grossteste has been placed in the honourable top five.

The survey, run by the website surveyor Sitemorse, found that Bishop Grosseteste’s website was found to have some of the best response times and accessibility ratings.

A Sitemorse spokeman said: “The university has always done well in our testing and we scored their website at 7.6/10 this time.”

Ben Rook, Marketing Manager at Bishop Grosseteste, said: “We’re extremely pleased that our website has once again been recognised for its performance, functionality and accessibility. Not only that, but Sitemorse has given our site a high ranking for the fact that it provides a helpful and enjoyable experience to those who use it.”

He also announced that the university planned to launch a new version in 2014. He said:

“The digital world doesn’t stand still which is why we are currently working on a new and even better website for BGU which we will be launching soon.”

This is only another success for Bishop Grosseteste, which celebrated formal university status in January.

Similarly, the University of Lincoln came 39th in the same survey.
