Lincoln City will be looking to end a run of two consecutive losses when they take on Woking at the Sincil Bank Stadium on Saturday at 15:00.
After the match against Torquay was postponed, the Imps have 12 games left to cut the 11 point deficit to reach the playoffs, but play a side they lost to 3-1 at the Kingfield Stadium all the way back in September.
Goalkeeper Paul Farman, who’s just signed a new deal with the Imps, wants to get revenge for the defeat:
“Any team that beats you, you want to get one over back on them, they did play well down there, and I thought they’d win the league with the players they had, but we have to try and get one over them at the Bank,” Farman said.
The Imps will be looking to bounce back from their 1-0 defeat at home against Chester, which was two weeks ago on February 14.
Lincoln City coach, David Preece stressed the team want to bounce back after a disappointing performance against Chester:
“The fact the game against Chester didn’t go as well as we wanted it to, wasn’t to disheartening because if players give everything, work really hard, and the quality isn’t there, it’s a bit more acceptable,” Preece said.
The coach also provided an injury update, and said Tony Diagne is the only major injury within the squad:
“We’ve got a full bill of health, we’ve been quite lucky this season in regards to the injuries. We were desperate to get Tony back because he’s been working hard all season.”
The Frenchman will be having an injection this week to speed up his recovery.
