Lincoln’s poor form continued this afternoon as the Imps lost 2 -0 to Woking at Sincil Bank.
The Imps went into the half time break two goals down. Woking took the lead after twenty minutes after Yemi Odubade flicked the ball onto Scott Rendell’s head who nodded the visitors into the lead, despite looking to be in an offside positon.
In the closing stages of the first half the referee was once again at the centre of the action. Woking’s Josh Payne clattered into Paul Farman with a high foot but was only shown a yellow card. Minutes later Payne then curled in a superb twenty five yard freekick into the top corner to give the visitors a two goal lead at the break.
Woking continued probing the Imps in the second half and thought they had added a third on seventy minutes when Odubade poked home a Rendell shot but it was ruled out for offside.
Lincoln rarely threatened the Woking goal and fell to their third consecutive defeat.
