A Black Parade club night and a performance by Welsh rock band Feeler were due to take place at the venue this evening.

In a statement, Lincoln SU said: “Following advice from the University of Lincoln and in line with Lincolnshire Police’s ‘no travel’ advice, it is with regret that the decision has been made to cancel the Engine Shed’s ‘Feeder’ performance and the Black Parade Club Night.

“Full refunds will be made available. Please contact your original ticket vendor to arrange repayment of your tickets.

“The safety of our members and customers is and has always been of upmost importance. Feeder are already on-site, preparing for the show so therefore this is not a decision we have taken lightly.

“We apologise for any inconveniences this may cause,” they said.

Meanwhile, Feeler’s bassist Take Hirose has taken to Twitter to say he ‘got on a train and was told to go back. Shame but understandable…’

The news follows the Union’s decision to cancel QUACK! on Wednesday, after Lincolnshire faced heavy snow and was issued with a yellow weather warning by the Met Office.

Those who bought tickets for QUACK!’s Under the Sea event online would have received refunds automatically, but people who bought tickets from SU Reception will still have to come in to the Students’ Union once it has re-opened.

Lincoln SU have said that a decision on whether Propaganda will take place will be made tomorrow, and that students should keep an eye on their website and social media for updates.
