After a two-year break, The Linc’s Spotify playlist is back! Take a look at what our editors think you should be listening to right now.

For those who don’t remember the previous playlists, here’s how it works: every month, The Linc’s editorial team will select a song each that they have been listening to non-stop. A song they love. Then, we’ll put them all into a playlist for you, just in case you’re in need of some new tracks to listen to.

This time around, our team has been airing on the side of slow indie-pop tunes. Rex Orange County’s “Best Friend” offers up a vocal-heavy mellow track backed by quiet instrumentals. Julia Michaels also makes an appearance with “If You Need Me”, an acoustic love song that shows how far an impressive guitar backing can take you.

Joining the ranks of female-led indie tracks: Mxmtoon with “Prom dress”, a mellow tune with soft, sweet vocals. If that isn’t really your thing, Post Malone’s “Circles” offers the chance to enjoy some mellow R&B, while “People” by The 1975 shows off their usual upbeat pop(ish) style.

Elton John makes an appearance this week, his widely popular “Are You Ready For Love” topping the playlist with his impressive vocal range. Elsewhere on this week’s playlist, tracks like Twin Atlantic’s “The Chaser”, “7UP” by Boy In Space, Stereophonics’ “Don’t Let The Devil Take Another Day” and Laura Marling’s “Soothing” all make appearances.

You can find this month’s playlist right here.
