Lincoln United's Jaime Ture

Former Gainsborough Trinity midfielder Jamie Ture has become Lincoln United‘s fifth signing of the off-season.

He joins from Winterton Rangers, and will reconvene with the management trio who made the move to The Whites’ at the end of last season.

He made 35 appearances for Winterton last season, at step four, ending the season as the club’s fourth-highest appearance maker.

Naturally a box-to-box midfielder, Ture had to fill in at centre-back last season and adapted well to a position away from where he has played the bulk of his football.

Speaking to The Linc, United manager Scott Hellewell said: “He’s not the most technically gifted player, but his work rate and things like that are what have stood out over the years. When Jamie is on form, there isn’t a better player in central midfield.”
