Salford City academy product Adam Barthram has signed on the dotted line with Lincoln United ahead of the upcoming season.
The former Winterton Rangers man can play anywhere down the left-side of the pitch, from full-back to winger.
He is reunited with The Whites’ new management team, as well as a number of former teammates.
Speaking to The Linc, Lincoln manager Scott Hellewell said: “He can play left-back, he can play left-wing-back, he can play anywhere on the left side. He’s very, very good on the ball, but he’s equally good at defending.”
Hellewell revealed that Barthram, who is currently at university in Nottingham, was the first target that the management team looked to acquire after they moved to Ashby Avenue.

An EFL Academy Product:
Much like defensive pair Henry Moore and Tom Hipwell, who came through the ranks at Grimsby Town, Barthram spent time in the youth set-up of an EFL club, at Salford City.
Hellewell said: “A lot of lads can come from these academies and not be ready, size-wise and things like that. Whereas, you can see that Adam was ready for men’s football with the build of him, same as Tom [Hipwell], same as Henry [Moore]. They’re all built well, they’re not small lads, but technically they are all good as well.”
