Lincoln United have made it official that assistant manager Paul Grimes will continue as a player for the upcoming season.
The 39-year-old ended last season as Winterton Rangers’ joint-top goal scorer in step four.
The striker will now embark on a fourth stint as a Lincoln player, after playing during current director of football Dave Frecklington’s days as manager, vice-chair Sam Wilkinson’s stint in charge and for Chris Funnell last season.
He made three appearances for The Whites last season as the team juggled a vat of games towards the end of the campaign, while battling in the latter stages of the Isuzu FA Vase.
