Gainsborough Trinity boss Russ Wilcox reacted to his side’s Emirates FA Cup win over Grantham Town.

The Holy Blues manager admitted his team were not at their best in their victory, but drilled down on the important factor of the result. He said: “The bottom line is, we are through.”

Wilcox credited his Grantham counterpart Louie Bland, after what he called an “excellent” showing from the Gingerbreads. He also credited double goalscorer Dec Howe, hailed the countless chances his team created, and commented on 17-year-old back-up goalkeeper Ollie Sykes.
