Chris Funnell was pleased to get the 3-2 win over Sutton Coldfield in league action on Sunday afternoon, in a dramatic ending at The Sun-Hat Villas & Resorts Stadium.

On the game, speaking to LincSport’s Roberto Hollis he said: “The game was topsy-turvy. It was very much you attack, we attack, like a basketball game.”

The returning manager was pleased of how dangerous his side were on the counter-attack but thought his side could have been better in possession and that there is more to come from The Whites.

The result sees The Whites increase the gap between them and the relegation zone to a healthier six points. Funnell’s side now look ahead to the Women’s FA Cup that begins next weekend.
