Manager Russ Wilcox says his Gainsborough Trinity team are at the top of their game after FA Trophy victory over higher league opposition, Chester.
The Holy Blues boss spoke to The Linc sports editor Jamie Johnson, saying progression into the third round was “pleasing”, continuing a cup run of “outstanding” performances.
He dissected the game, and said: “Today we were resolute, solid, organised, and showed that little bit of quality… the base of what we worked from was hard work, organisation and being solid.”
Gainsborough recorded a ninth game unbeaten in a row, adding a third consecutive clean sheet and victory.
