Lincoln City will be hoping to secure three consecutive wins in League One for the first time this season, as they face Blackpool.

The Imps are coming off the back of a 5-1 win last time out against Peterborough United, and a 1-0 away victory over Northampton Town before that.

Opposition: Blackpool

Blackpool currently sit 14th in the League One table, four points behind City in 11th with a game in hand.

Under the management of Steve Bruce, who replaced Neil Critchley early in September 2024, the Tangerines have stabilised and started to climb the league following a poor start.

This month, striker Kyle Joseph has moved to Championship side Hull City, while Eliot Embleton has also departed to join League Two strugglers Carlisle United.

On the incoming front, winger Samuel Silvera has joined on loan to the end of the season from Middlesbrough and Tom Bloxham signed a permanent move from Shrewsbury Town.

Team News:

Lincoln’s new signing James Collins will be pushing for a start, following a debut goal off the bench on Saturday.

Fellow new arrival Sam Clucas is also waiting to feature for the first time since his arrival from Oldham Athletic.

There are no fresh injury concerns for Michael Skubala, as he confirmed in his pre-match press conference.

Tom Hamer has returned to light training this week, with his return expected in mid-February.

Midfielder Jack Moylan, loanee Bailey Cadamarteri, goalkeeper George Wickens and striker Tyler Walker all remain unavailable.

Head-to-Head:

These two sides have a mixed recent record against one another. Since the start of the 2020s, in the seven games between the Imps and the Seasiders, City have been victorious on three occasions, with two draws and two Blackpool wins.

The most famous of those games ended in defeat. The 2021 League One Play-Off Final at Wembley ended in a 2-1 win for Blackpool, in spite of Michael Appleton’s side taking an early lead.

Played for Both: Morgan Rogers

Current Aston Villa winger Morgan Rogers spent time out on loan with both Blackpool and the Imps from Manchester City.

Rogers arrived at Sincil Bank in January 2021 on loan for the remainder of the season. He won EFL Young Player of the Month in March, following a spell of three goals in seven games.

The winger ended the season with 28 appearances in red and white, scoring six goals.

Two years later, Manchester City loaned Rogers to Bloomfield Road. He scored once in 22 games in the Championship, failing to help keep Blackpool in the division.
