Gainsborough Trinity 5-1 Blyth Spartans:

Manager Russ Wilcox was “really pleased” after Gainsborough Trinity secured a second straight victory.

It was Trinity’s second win of the week, putting five past bottom of the table Blyth after an impressive three points were secured against Warrington Rylands in midweek.

Speaking to The Linc sports reporter Joshua Birkin, Wilcox said: “To get back-to-back wins, six points out of six, is really pleasing because it does eventually move you [up the table]. The challenge now is can we win next week, and make it three wins on the spin.”

The Trinity boss dissected the game, set piece success, and goals spread around the Gainsborough ranks.
