Gainsborough Trinity 2-1 Bamber Bridge:

Manager Russ Wilcox said he was “relieved” that his Gainsborough Trinity side hung on to beat Bamber Bridge.

Trinity won 2-1 thanks to goals from Declan Howe and Javelle Clarke, before Gainsborough had to hang on to their three points after trouble after the break.

Speaking to The Linc sports reporter Spencer O’Leary, Wilcox said: “I am relieved and a little bit frustrated that we didn’t put the game to bed, they come out the traps the second-half, after our, I must say, fantastic first-half.”

The Holy Blues manager was asked about Howe’s 30th goal of the campaign, a lucky escape with a referee’s decision going the way of his team, and a strong first-half performance.
