The charity event was organized by WCF Chandlers, a heating oil business local to Lincolnshire to raise money for Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance services (LNAA).

The theme for the charity ball was Valentines, over the past four years WCF Chandlers has raised more than £24,000 for charity.

Supported by other local businesses, the black-tie event was supported by donating prizes for a charity auction and offering their services for free.

Charlotte Carratt, from WCF Chandlers said: ‘’ The Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance provides an essential service for our region, and as a team, we want to do everything we can to support the lifesaving work it carries out…’’

‘’we are so grateful for the support we have received from local businesses who have donated the time, money and prizes which make the ball such a success’’.

The LNAA covers 3,500 square miles across the region of Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire. Responding to 1,724 incidents in 2024 alone.

The service needs to raise £13 million this year and relies on donations for their services to remain operational.

Joe Harper, Corporate Partnerships Manager at the LNAA said: ‘’As an independent charity, support like this is vital to our continues operation…’’

‘’at an average cost of £4,000 per mission, the amount raised at the ball will pay for two missions, helping our doctor and paramedic crews to perform life-saving procedures wherever the patient needs us’’.

The Valentine’s ball featured a range of events and some very sought after prizes in a silent auction. From a top signed by F1 Academy Drivers’ champion Abbi Pulling, which raised nearly £1,000, to a session skydiving in Nottinghamshire with Skydive Langer.

The event itself raised £6,974 for the LNAA and the money raised was boosted by a donation made by WCF chandlers’ parent company WCF Ltd of £2,183.
