Fourth placed Charlton Athletic will host Lincoln City this weekend, with the Imps looking to build on their impressive 1-0 win against Huddersfield Town.

Michael Skubala’s side will be hoping to make it back-to-back league wins for the first time since January after kick-starting the month with a win over Huddersfield on Tuesday night.

The Imps have conceded just three goals in their last six games: winning three, drawing one and losing two, as they currently sit 12th place in League One.

Opposition: Charlton Athletic

The Addicks find themselves in fourth place under former Luton Town and Southampton manager Nathan Jones, recording their eighth straight home win in a 4-0 against Huddersfield on Saturday.

Charlton have won seven of their last ten games, making a late push for an automatic promotion place as they sit just six points behind Wrexham in second.

Striker Matt Godden, has scored on 14 occasions this term, making him joint fourth top goalscorer in the league. Tyreece Campbell is another name to keep an eye on as the winger has now scored three in the side’s last two games.

Lincoln head coach Skubala confirmed before the game that Ethan Erhahon is back in team training, which means his return to the pitch is expected in seven to ten days.

Jack Moylan and Bailey Cadamarteri remain out through injury, while captain Paddie O’Connor will serve the second of his fourth match suspension following his straight red card against Wycombe Wanderers.

Head-to-Head:

The clash between the two teams earlier in the season resulted in a goalless draw, which, at the time, extended Lincoln’s winless run in the league to six games.

Last season, the Imps took four points from Charlton, drawing 1-1 at The Valley and beating them 3-1 at the LNER Stadium courtesy of a Hakeeb Adelakun brace.

Overall, Lincoln and Charlton have faced each other on 21 occasions, the Imps winning five, the Addicks winning nine and the remaining games being draws.

Played for Both:

Current Lincoln City number 14 Conor McGrandles is amongst the players to feature for both teams. The Scottish midfielder joined Charlton from Lincoln in 2022 on a free transfer, only featuring 12 times for the Addicks.

He briefly re-joined the Imps on loan in January 2024 before being officially re-signed on a permanent in June of the same year.

Charlton defender Alex Mitchell has also played for both teams, making 29 appearances this season after joining from Millwall last summer. He spent last season in Lincolnshire on a loan deal, making 36 appearances for the Imps and scoring a single goal in that time.
