Lincoln United 2-1 Ashby Ivanhoe:

Lincoln United manager Scott Hellewell praises the “character” of his side after their win over Ashby Ivanhoe.

The Whites came from behind against their visitors, seeing out a victory that sees Lincoln retain their top spot in the table ahead of next week’s trip to second-placed Eastwood CFC.

The Linc sports reporter Roberto Hollis, Hellewell said: “We have got a good squad of players, everyone is staying level-headed, not getting ahead of themselves, and we have just ticked another game off.

“We’ve got just three league games to go to try and get to where we want to be.”

The United boss spoke in detail about the victory, while looking ahead to Wednesday’s Lincolnshire FA County Trophy final against league promotion rivals Bourne Town and the season’s ever-shortening run in.
