Lincoln City have released their 2025/26 Pre-Season Schedule as they prepare for their seventh consecutive season in Sky Bet League One.

The new season marks Michael Skubala’s third year in charge of Lincoln City as the Imps hope this season they can sneak into the play-off places for the first time since the 2020/21 campaign.

It’s been a slow start to the summer transfer window for the Imps, the only business so far being left-back Sean Roughan leaving for Huddersfield Town earlier this month – a player who featured in every minute of football for Lincoln last term.

Skubala’s side will spend the third week of July in the Algarve, as they have arranged a warm weather training camp which includes a friendly against League Two side Bromley.

Upon returning to England, the Imps will play two more friendly matches, clashing with Grimsby Town and West Bromwich Albion before displaying an open training session at the LNER Stadium ahead of their first league game.

Bromley: Wednesday 16th July (N)

The Imps kick-start their pre-season schedule with a game against London based Bromley at the Estadio Da Nora in Albufeira as a part of their warm weather training camp in Portugal.

Bromley won promotion from the National League for the first time in their history in the 2023/24 season, finishing third with 81 points under current manager Andy Woodman.

The Ravens finished 11th in League Two last term, massively helped by striker Michael Cheek, the 33-year-old scoring 25 league goals, ranking him the division’s top goalscorer and League Two player of the season.

Grimsby Town: Tuesday 22nd July (A)

Once their week in Portugal has concluded, Lincoln will travel to Blundell Park to face another League Two outfit in local Lincolnshire rivals Grimsby Town.

The Mariners narrowly missed out on the play-offs spots last season, finishing ninth place and a mere two points off seventh place Chesterfield.

Like Skubala, Grimsby head coach David Artell also approaches his third term in charge of his team, he will be hoping for a strong pre-season campaign to build on last season and boost his sides chances of reaching the play-off places this time out.

West Bromwich Albion: Saturday 26th July (H)

Lincoln City conclude their pre-season with a game against championship side West Brom who disappointingly finished ninth place last season after being widely tipped to finish in the play-offs.

Fan favourite Carlos Corberan left the club in December for his boyhood club Valencia, whilst his replacement Tony Mowbray was sacked in April after it became clear he wasn’t reaching the clubs expectations.

The Baggies will be hoping for a fresh start under new head coach Ryan Mason, the former England midfielder has gained experience whilst working under top-class managers like Jose Mourinho, Antonio Conte and Ange Postecoglou in his time as a coach at Tottenham Hotspur.

Overall, an exciting trio of pre-season matches looms for Skubala’s Lincoln City as they look to take on yet another season in the third tier of English football.
