Adam Reach made his Lincoln City debut on Tuesday night as the Imps found a 3-0 victory over League Two side Notts County in the Vertu Trophy
Reach signed a one-year deal on deadline day as he joined Michael Skubala’s side on a free transfer after leaving Wycombe Wanderers at the end of last season.
The former Sheffield Wednesday and West Brom star was one of four deadline day signings for the Imps and the full back was quick to showcase his class to the home fans.
He registered an early assist with a brilliant in-swinging corner that found Sonny Bradley who was able to head the ball home and give the Imps a 1-0 lead over the League Two side.
Reach spoke highly of the team’s overall performance after the match, when he said: “I think that it has just been a really professional performance.
“In competitions like this there can be potential banana skins but we applied ourselves from the first minute, we were aggressive and, on the front-foot and obviously scoring that early goal helped.”
The debutant is a well-known player in and around the English game, when asked what the supporters could expect from him joining the squad, Reach said: “You can expect the non-negotiables, hard work, honesty and togetherness with the teammates.
“I want to try be positive, get forward and create chances, whether that be from set pieces, like tonight or from open play with crosses and that’s what I want to show the fans.”
