The Imps will be without Dexter Lembikisa and Ivan Varfolomeev with the pair away on international duty.

Lincoln City face SkyBet League One leaders Stevenage tomorrow at the LNER Stadium in what is their last home game for a month.

The Imps return to action having not played since their 1-0 loss to Exeter City on October 4, a game that saw Kevin McDonald score in the 94th minute to secure all three points for the Grecians.

Michael Skubala’s side kick-start a run of five of away fixtures after Saturday’s match, which could stretch to six if their clash against Doncaster Rovers is postponed on November 15.

Tomorrow’s match is dedicated to Remembrance Day and before kick-off there will be a bugler performing a rendition of the Last Post. Supporters are asked to get their seats earlier than usual to ensure that everybody can watch the commemorations and pay their respects.

Opponents: Stevenage

Alex Revell’s side are currently a point clear at the top of League One with a game in hand on second place Bradford City, picking up 25 points from their opening ten matches.

The Boro have lost just once all season and are currently on a three game win streak in the league- beating Exeter, Leyton Orient and local rivals Luton Town in recent weeks.

They most recently secured a 2-1 win over Bromley in the Vertu Trophy with former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harvey White and 24-year-old attacker Gassan Ahadme scoring the goals on the night.

The Imps will do well to stop Jamie Reid from netting in tomorrows game with the attacker already picking up five league goals this season, the most for his team.

Team News:

Ivan Varfolomeev, Dexter Lembikisa and Justin Obikwu were all called up to represent their nations at the latest international break.

When asked about their situation earlier this afternoon, head-coach Skubala said: “We’re still waiting on two to get back from where they’ve been.

“Ivan’s back in the building and had a light training session today, injury wise there’s nothing to report.”

Conor McGrandles missed the Exeter game due to injury before the international break but Skubala confirmed he has returned to training and is fit for selection to face Stevenage.

Head-to-Head:

The two sides have only locked horns on 11 occasions since they first clashed in 1998, the Imps winning five of those affairs.

Last season just one goal separated City from Stevenage across two games, Jack Moylan scored the winner at the Lamex Stadium and the teams settled for a 0-0 draw at the LNER Stadium on Saturday, January 4.

Played for Both:

Nottingham Forest academy graduate Tyler Walker is a notable name to feature for both sides, having two spells at Lincoln, the second lasting until 2025.

His initial loan spell with the Imps ended in success, joining for the 2019-20 season and firing in 14 goals in 29 games- however he failed to score once upon returning to the club in 2023.

The 28-year-old forward had a loan spell at Stevenage in 2016 whilst still on the books at Forest, he featured eight times for them and scored on three occasions.
