Michael Skubala thought that his Lincoln City side did enough to win the game yesterday as they were beaten 1-0 at home to Exeter City.
It was just the second time all season that the Imps have failed to score a goal in any competition and Skubala said: “There were loads of chances today and we just didn’t score.
“We had three or four clean one-on-ones, and we had 53 touches in the box, they didn’t have many chances, but we had enough chances to win the game.”
The head coach made one change from the side that beat Peterborough United 3-0 last weekend as Ivan Varfolomeev replaced the injured Conor McGrandles.

However, the Scotsman isn’t expected to be out for too long as Skubala said: “A little bit of a niggle that he was feeling on his quad, so we’ll know more in the next 48 hours.
“We have the depth, I though the two sixes did well in there today that’s why we’ve got the squad, he’s been great for us but in the final third today we need to take our chances.
The Imps now face a two-week break, due to international call-ups expected to come for Ivan Varfolomeev, Dexter Lembikisa and Justin Obikwu, before they welcome top of the table Stevenage.
That one is an early kick-off and, on the break, Skubala said: “It’s probably a good thing for us to regroup and refresh.
“Of course we want to keep momentum, but we have to be on it every single week.”
