Lincoln United moved up to 12th in the Northern Premier League East Division after securing an impressive 2-0 win over Dunston UTS on Tuesday night.
Just a week ago, the Whites were in the relegation zone with just five points from seven games, but two wins from their last two matches has seen them climb out of the bottom four and into mid table.
Not only is it two wins on the bounce for Scott Hellewell’s side, but they’ve now also earnt two clean sheets in a row, with the unchanged backline looking as solid as ever in their first season back in step four.
Second half goals from Connor Brown and Jaime Ture sealed the three points for United at the Sun-hat Villas & Resorts Stadium, with their frontline showing clinical finishing that they have lacked at parts this season.

Sam Swinn was awarded Man of the Match on the night after an inspired performance that limited the opposition to just a handful of chances throughout the game.
The Linc sports reporter Declan Dempsey spoke to Lincoln United’s assistant manager Paul Grimes after the game. He said: “(It was) Really pleasing that we kicked on second half rather than went backwards.
“Yeah, fully deserved (the win) I think based on that second half performance.”
