Michael Skubala’s Lincoln City drew 1-1 against West Yorkshire outfit Huddersfield Town yesterday afternoon in Sky Bet League One.
After Leo Castledine’s goal sent the Imps 1-0 down, Adam Reach was there to quickly change the tune by equalising just seven short minutes later, helping the Imps to keep their undefeated streak alive.
After the game Skubala praised his team’s first half performance when he said: “We had an excellent first half, we did everything but score.
We are disappointed to have gone 1-0 down, but we showed great character to get back into the game and pick up a point.”
With Cardiff City also only able to pick up a draw in their fixture away at Wycombe Wanderers, some Lincoln City supporters may deem it to be a missed opportunity to get three points on the board, Skubala dispelled that when he said: “Not against them, they are a great team.
“If it was against someone further down the table at home, then you could say that. Huddersfield are pushing for automatic promotion, they’ll be in and around it, so it’s a good point in the end for us.”
It is no surprise to any football fan that alongside the new year getting into full swing but so is the transfer market. With this, Shamrock Rovers Full-back Joshua Honohan will be joining Skubala’s side swapping green and white for red and white.

Skubala said: “We will see what the situation is, there is still some things that need to be done. I’ve met him but he’s not into our training or anything like that yet so we’ll assess him in the next couple of days.
Next up on the agenda for Skubala and his men is another home game on Sunday. Peterborough United will be making the short journey sitting 11th .They’ll be looking to keep up with their recent unbeaten run of form, with The Posh not losing in the league since late November against Doncaster Rovers.
Skubala reflected on the upcoming fixture with its such little turnaround, “It will be really tough, the players will be really tired. We have to re-gel and recover really well and hopefully we will have a good performance again.”
