Last week Lincoln City announced a new stadium expansion that will increase the capacity of the LNER Stadium, but exactly how does it benefit the Imps?
Financially the Imps will get a big hit from the new hospitality boxes that are going in above the Rilmac stand and create a covered space where the current fan zone is on matchdays.
While there currently doesn’t seem to be an expansion to the general allocation of the LNER Stadium the Imps will see more financial benefit from the hospitality seating.
That would be an even bigger boost should the Imps manage to find promotion into the Championship, currently the club charge a maximum of £65 a game for their current hospitality offerings.

They come in the Branston Legends Lounge and the Greenlinc Renewables 200 club so an extra offering could make the club over £20,000 per matchday based the 350 capacity in the new event space.
On top of that, they would also likely charge more for the Rilmac hospitality especially if the club are to be promoted to the Championship.
As it stands that seems very likely with the side sat ten points clear of third place Bolton Wanderers and just a point behind table-toppers Cardiff City.
However, the biggest benefit of the expansion seems to be to the fans and the overall matchday experience.
The covered section of the Rilmac stand will attract fans for longer which should improve the atmosphere but also once again increase the club’s revenue stream.

The second boost to the atmosphere will also come from the new PA System being installed at the stadium alongside a new large screen, location of which is yet to be confirmed.
Ultimately, these plans further show the positivity surrounding the club and the direction that new chairman Ron Fowler wants to take the club in.
