Lincoln City centre back Lewis Montsma has joined Dundee FC for an undisclosed fee in a window where the Imps have further strengthened their backline.
The Dutchman leaves the Imps having joined the side in 2020 on a free transfer from Dutch second division side FC Dordrecht.
He has since gone on to make 108 appearances for the League One side but is yet to feature in the league this season having made just four appearances this season across the Vertu Trophy, Carabao Cup and FA Cup.
The defender leaves Sincil Bank as the side’s longest serving player but has seen his time with the Imps largely marred by injuries.
Having started promisingly throughout his first 18 months making 75 of his appearances in that time however the 27-year-old suffered an ACL injury early in 2022 that would rule him for 13 months.
And Montsma has never really fully recovered since then going on to miss the entirety of the 2023/24 season before being eased back into the side last season.
However, he has now gone on to miss large parts of the current 2025/26 season through injury but did feature against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup third round in September.

His six-year stay with the Imps now comes to an end as he joined a Dundee FC side currently ninth in the Scottish Premiership.
There he will join up with former Lincoln City midfielder Ethan Hamilton who has recently taken up the captaincy of Steven Pressley’s side.
Montsma has signed a six-month deal with the Dee that comes with an option to extend held by the club.
Upon joining the Scottish outfit Montsma said: “Thank you to everyone at Lincon City who has made the last five-and-a-half years so special.
“This is a special club and a special city and the love I felt means a lot to me, you are a big reason why I am able to continue my playing career.
“My time as a Lincoln City player is over but I will forever be an Imp.”
