Michael Skubala’s Lincoln City are now 14 matches unbeaten in SkyBet League One after picking up a point against third place Bolton Wanderers.
Jack Moylan’s first half goal, which bundled into the bottom left-hand corner, just wasn’t enough to secure the victory with Sam Dalby equalising for the visiting Trotters late on.
After the game, Imps head coach, Michael Skubala was left frustrated with how the game panned out.
He said: “It was a really good performance, frustrated not to win it because when you create that many chances and shots you want to win the game and I thought that we did enough to win it.”
Going into the match against Bolton, Skubala’s side hadn’t lost a league match in 13 games, and, as City shared the points with Bolton, that run stretched to 14.
Skubala let LincSport in on how his team is achieving this feat, he said: “Hard work. Hard work on the training pitch, hard work on the players, there is no substitute for that.
“The lads are working their socks off and you can see that out there.”
Jack Moylan has now scored five goals in five matches for the Lincoln faithful. Former chairman turned co-vice chairman Clive Nates told Moylan, “you’re on fire” and Skubala expressed the same sentiment.
He said: “He’s been brilliant and today he was exceptional, he created a lot of chances, he looked lively when he got on the ball, he’s playing really well at the moment.”
Looking ahead, Northampton Town will be travelling up the M1 on Tuesday to face Lincoln City in a game in what is a must win game for the Cobblers as they sit 17th in a tight relegation battle.
The question is, will Skubala decide to switch up the starting 11 for City’s next game against Northampton?
Skubala expressed the following on the topic by saying: “We have to look at it, there are a lot of tired legs out there today and we have to think about what the best thing is for the next game, so we will see about that.”
