Imps forward Rob Street was pleased to have made his impact in last night’s 4-0 victory over relegation fighting Northampton Town.
The 24-year-old was Michael Skubala’s first change of the evening coming on for Freddie Draper in the 55th minute.
Street got his goal, and City’s final of the evening in the 75th minute as he scored following a parry from Cobbler’s keeper Ross Fitzsimons and was delighted to have made his impact and see other substitutes doing so as well.
Street said: “It’s good. When you come on the pitch you want to make an impact, and when you come on at 2-0, you don’t want to come on, and it suddenly become 2-2.
“You want to keep building on the win, and it was a good all-round performance.
“We take pride in keeping clean sheets and being a hard team to beat. It’s an all-round collective.”

Manager Skubala made three changes to his side before last night’s game from their 1-1 draw against Bolton on Saturday.
Ryan Oné, Tom Bayliss and Ben House all came into the starting line-up with the Lincoln attacker being one of those who fell onto the bench.
City now go onto another game on Saturday, another quick turnaround, where rotation is to be expected, as Street explained.
He said: “We’ve all played a lot of minutes.
“That’s the reason why you have a squad at the end of the day. But we don’t just have a good 11 players, we have a great 25 players in the building, and we’ve all got to play our part, and do what we can when we can.
“You’re never too down when you’re on the bench. You just want to come on and make an impact.”

Mansfield await the Imps on Saturday away from home at their ground – Field Mill.
Even though their opponents for this weekend are in 15th place in the Sky Bet League One table, Street maintained that there are no easy games in this league.
Street said: “They are another good team.
“You can only look at what their result was last weekend, and they are going to be a tough team to play.
“It’s a tough place to go. We’ll have a good crowd going down there and we’re looking to put on another good performance.”
