Conor McGrandles praised a dominant Lincoln City display, following a 4-0 win over Blackpool at the LNER Stadium.
The 30-year-old scored his first goal of the season in the first half, and second half goals from Rob Street, Dom Jefferies and Ryan Oné wrapped up all three points, as the Imps extended their unbeaten run to 17 games.
On the performance, McGrandles said: “A really good performance against a really good team, even though they’re at the bottom end of the table but they’ve got some really good players. So we knew we’d have to be on it.”
His 38th minute goal was the first he found since the FA Cup victory over Chesham United in November 2024, the Scotsman headed home from a few yards out to give the Imps the lead yesterday.
McGrandles joked: “Screamer wasn’t it! Unstoppable!”

Head Coach Michael Skubala has previously described McGrandles as one of the best midfielders in League One, but the midfielder was keen to praise his teammates for their work too.
“It’s not just me, the way we defend from the front is vital.
“The boys work so hard at the top end of the pitch, and the way the defenders do the last part and the box defending is amazing. I like to think I play my part, but if the boys up front didn’t do their job then it wouldn’t be possible.”
The Imps head to south Wales to face league leaders Cardiff City next time out, in a first vs second clash. The gap to third place is ten points, but McGrandles says the team know there is still work to be done to secure promotion to the Championship.
McGrandles said: “We can’t get carried away, there are still so many games to go, loads of good teams to play. (At Cardiff) we’ll focus on putting a good performance in and, if we do that, then we’ve got a great chance.”
