Tough tests keep on coming for Michael Skubala’s men as Lincoln City face Huddersfield Town, with both teams fighting to stay in their respective positions.
It was Jack Moylan, Tendayi Darikwa and loanee Alfie Lloyd who scored for the Imps in their 3-1 win against Stockport County last time out on Saturday.
With nine matches left to play, Lincoln see themselves four points ahead of Cardiff City in second and 15 points clear of Bolton Wanderers who are sat third in the standings.
Opponents: Huddersfield Town
These two sides have met with each other twice already this season. Adam Reach’s quick retaliation goal on New Years Day wasn’t enough for the win as both teams settled for a point with Huddersfield’s Leo Castledine also netting in the 1-1 draw.
Since then, Liam Manning has replaced Lee Grant at the managerial helm of the club.
His appointment has seen some strong victories but the Terriers have been knocked out of the EFL Vertu Trophy to Doncaster Rovers on penalties and suffered defeats against Wigan Athletic, Stevenage and Doncaster Rovers in his short tenure.
Despite these losses, Huddersfield sit sixth in SkyBet League One, level on points with Stockport County who are sat in seventh place. Plymouth Argyle, Wycombe Wanderers and Reading are all also in contention to secure a playoff position.
Speaking to Huddersfield’s in-house media, Manning let the fans know that Alfie May might be back ready for the game on Tuesday evening and Jack Whatmough returned to the squad at the weekend, adding a boost to their defence.

Freddie Draper remains sidelined after his injury in which he sustained against Northampton Town in February.
In the pre-match press conference Skubala said: “Freddie is still a couple of weeks away if you like, we are not sure about that one, that’s a bit unknown again.”
There are a few players in contention to make the bench for tonight’s game and the rest that Lincoln has to play.
Skubala said: “We’ve got lads waiting in the wings like Oscar Thorn who’s training very hard.
“Ring that everybody knows about, who’s training very hard. Kamil, who’s come in and not started for us yet but is training very well.
“Everybody’s united together and ready for the next task at hand, which is going to be a very difficult game.”

Within the space of a month, both teams played each other twice in January and February.
Neither result for Lincoln was particularly great, with the Imps failing to pick up a victory either time.
You have to go back to last season to find the last time the Imps beat Huddersfield, where on April Fools Day, Reeco Hackett was no fool in front of goal – putting the Imps ahead in the first half to secure a 1-0 win.
Since 2019, the two sides have met each other five times, with Lincoln being victorious twice. Both these games were closely-fought 1-0 victories.
