Sonny Bradley reiterated that ‘the job isn’t finished yet’ as Lincoln City extended the gap at the top of the SkyBet League One table to seven points with seven games left to play.
The Imps made short work of visitors Rotherham United, defeating them 3-0 on Saturday afternoon, extending their unbeaten run to 22 games, a run that goes all the way back to November 22.
Saint Lucian international Reeco Hackett was at the centre of all things good for the home side, having an impact in all three goals, taking his league tally to nine goals for the campaign.
Speaking after the game, veteran defender Sonny Bradley insisted that the job is far from done in terms of acquiring promotion, or even better, the league title.
He said: “Football’s a funny game, and anything could happen… we’re chasing down a promotion and a league title, so we’ve got to be at it for the last seven games.
“If we perform like we have been doing all season, I’m sure we’ll finish in the position that we want to finish.”

Saturday saw multiple standout performances, most notably from Hackett and Ben Hamer; Bradley described what it’s like having teammates with such quality around him.
“I’ve been part of good teams in the past and I’ve seen it. If you want to be part of a promotion winning team, you need a good number of players to have fantastic seasons, and it would be impossible for me to single somebody out.
“We have a host of players that have been outstanding all season, we’re trying to do exactly the same in the last seven games and try to win them all.”
Lincoln City welcome a much-deserved two-week break until their next fixture, in which they host AFC Wimbledon on April 3.
Bradley told us that there will be no changes in the way they prepare for this game.
He said: “Exactly the same; we have a couple days off to relax, we’ve had a tough fixture run of late.
“After a couple days we’ll get right back at it and this place will be sold out, no doubt, and we don’t want to disappoint our fans ever.
“Same mentality, same preparation, and try to win.”
As previously mentioned, City’s next fixture sees them host Wimbledon in two weeks’ time, in a fixture that could see them get promoted if results go their way.
As for Rotherham, The Millers remain six points adrift of survival, sitting on 36 points, however they will be happy to return to The New York Stadium for their next outing against playoff-chasing Stevenage.
